Geoff, Just spoke to a lady in our office who was telling us what a blessing your presentation that you gave yesterday at Trinity United Methodist was to her and the church. Said she was impressed with how someone could memorize that much Bible and recite it in public without so much as a stutter. Also said that your presentation made it feel like they were right there during those times. I have listened to Geoff Brock for several years on local sports radio and was sad to see him leave the air. I always enjoyed his insight and analysis of college football, UT in particular. Our church recently hosted Geoff and were truly blessed by his presentation. In a time when ministry is often about celebrity or "felt needs" it is refreshing to see someone with a passion to simply share the words of our Lord. I first became acquainted with Geoff through work and I soon learned about his ministry (Sermon on the Mount). I thought it would be good for the youth group to have him out to speak, but when I presented it to my youth pastor he asked if I had seen Geoff do his presentation myself. Since I hadn't seen Geoff do the sermon, I then thought why not have him do it first for my Sunday school class? So I called Geoff and set it up. I then told the SS class that a guest speaker was going to recite from memory the Sermon on the Mount and to please be there next week. I also invited some friends from another class--more so to make sure Geoff had more people to teach to and not too many empty chairs. (Oh me of little faith!) Geoff came and it was great! We had a good number in class and everyone enjoyed the presentation. |

We were one of the first groups to hear Geoff Brock’s presentation of “The Sermon on The Mount”. It was excellent! Geoff not only inspired us with what he did but the story he shared with us of how he was inspired to do this ministry. Anyone who utilizes Geoff and his ministry will not only be blessed by his presentation but may inspire others to memorize God’s word and “hide it in their heart” so that they may better serve God. I never really appreciated the magnitude and substance of Jesus' greatest sermon until I heard Geoff. For the first time I saw the extent to which Jesus went to lay out the impossibility of our self righteousness ridding us of judgement and earning us eternal paradise. When Geoff was through, there was no doubt in my mind that this awesome sermon was Jesus Christ's gracious plea for each of us to see that the standard of righteousness is nothing we can attain to. But, Jesus narrowed the way to include just Himself. I cannot wait to hear Geoff deliver the sermon again. Who knows what else God will show me. |

I had Geoff come and give Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount to our men’s bible study, and it impacted our group. There was a power in hearing it spoken aloud with purpose and clarity. Coming into contact with The Sermon in its entirety, the way Jesus’ audience would have heard it, brings something totally different than when it is broken up into pieces. Hearing it helps understand what it means that Christ came preaching the Kingdom. I would heartily recommend any church, ministry, group, or bible study have Geoff come to deliver the greatest sermon ever given. |
