I began a spiritual journey in 2006 while contemplating the words of the greatest sermon ever preached by the only great man who ever lived—Jesus Christ. I hope the next step in my journey is sharing the message Jesus delivered in the Sermon on the Mount with you. From August 2001 to April of this year, I was blessed to be a sports talk broadcaster in the Knoxville radio market. I hosted a weekly show on ESPN Radio 1180 and looked forward to each Saturday program because I thoroughly enjoyed discussing sports with my co-hosts and, especially, our callers. Doing a program of this nature was therapeutic in a way because it gave me the opportunity to escape the trials of the “real world” for a couple of hours and converse with others that were every bit as passionate about sports as I am. However, my broadcasting opportunities paled in comparison to the sense of purpose I am rewarded with in sharing the words of Jesus Christ in the Sermon on the Mount. My hope and prayer is that the Lord works through my presentation to convince someone, anyone, in the audience to seek a relationship with Jesus Christ like never before. I am evidence that this relationship is not just worth it—but is essential to living in this world—and beyond.
